Experience transformation through carefully curated programming
Jul 24
Arrival & Homestay
Participants arrive in Toyama and prepare for IAC27. Students joining the homestay program meet their host families and begin their two-night homestay experience.
The evening is intentionally relaxed, allowing students to share dinner, conversation, and everyday family life with their hosts.
Jul 25
Competition Day 1
The first official day of International Abacus Classic 2027. Students from Japan and overseas come together to challenge themselves through competition and international exchange.
A Welcome Reception / International Exchange Program is also being considered in collaboration with relevant partners.
Jul 26
Competition Day 2, Awards & Closing
The second competition day brings IAC27 to its official conclusion with final competition sessions, awards, and the closing program.
Homestay participants leave their host families in the morning, and participants requiring accommodation transition to their hotels following the event.

Optional Tateyama Experience
Participants and families may extend their IAC27 experience with an optional full-day Tateyama tour.
Discover Toyama’s spectacular mountain landscape through scenic transportation, nature, walking, and time together with other IAC27 families.
CULTURAL EXPERIENCE
Homestay with a Local Family
Stay with a local family in Toyama and experience everyday life in Japan beyond the competition. Share meals, connect across cultures, and create friendships that go far beyond the classroom.
